Why good prospects go cold
A prospect can be genuinely interested and still disappear. Often the problem is not a lack of demand; it is what happens between the first inquiry and the moment the customer feels confident enough to act.
Four places momentum often breaks
Response takes too long. The customer keeps looking while waiting, and another business becomes easier to choose.
The next step is unclear. A quote, booking link, callback, consultation, or estimate may exist, but the customer is not sure what to do next.
Follow-up stops too early. One unanswered message is treated as a final answer even though timing—not interest—may be the issue.
Trust is not reinforced. The customer may still need proof, clarity, pricing context, or reassurance before committing.
The practical question
Take the last ten qualified inquiries that did not become customers. Can you identify exactly where each one stopped moving? If not, the first opportunity may be better visibility and follow-up—not more lead volume.
